The problem
The front desk still runs on a ledger.
Hand over your QID, write your name in a book, take a plastic badge, walk in. The book is a record nobody ever reads, the badge comes back or it does not, and your identity document sits in a drawer until you leave.

What people ask about visitor entry.
No. The pass arrives by SMS or email and opens in any mobile browser. It can be added to Apple or Google Wallet if the visitor prefers, but nothing needs to be installed to get through the gate.
The officer can look the visit up by name, mobile number or reference and clear it manually — the override is recorded against the visit with the officer named, so the audit trail stays complete.
As far ahead as your policy allows. Each pass carries an access window set by the host, and it simply will not validate outside that window — so an early issue does not become an open-ended credential.
The visit is flagged as exit-overdue on the security dashboard and the host is notified. The overstay is recorded on the same record as the entry, so it is visible in any later review.
No. Identity is verified at the point of request, before arrival. Nothing is collected or held at the desk, which removes both the queue and the custody problem that comes with holding documents.
